Prayer Requests
Prayers are needed for the family of Ruth Whitten. Ruth is on the Stewardship and Caring Ministry Team and also a Lay School Student. Her father had surgery this past week and will need all the prayers we can send.
Installations Scheduled
NOTICE CHANGE IN DATE: Rev. Mary Curtis will be installed as Chaplain at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, OH on February 3, 2008 beginning at 6:00 pm.
Sandra Goode Bricker was called to St. John’s UCC, Fostoria on November 15, 2007 as Part-time Pastor. Sandra will be ordained on January 13, 2008 at First UCC in Marblehead beginning at 4:00 pm. All are welcome!
The installation of the Pastor Jeff Cobb at St. Peter’s UCC, Millbury will be January 20, 2008 at 1:30 pm. With a reception immediately following the service.
The Association’s financial books for 2007 will be closed Tuesday, January 8, 2008. Please see that money to be recorded for 2007 is received by this date. It is helpful if checks sent are dated December 31, 2007 so that there is no confusion of intent.

Boundary Training
On November 6, 2007 the Church and Ministry Team passed a motion to require all Authorized Ministers holding standing in the Northwest Ohio Association, Ohio Conference, UCC to attend boundary training every three years to maintain standing. Dates and locations are as followed:
February 12, 2008 First UCC- Fremont
February 19, 2008 The Oasis at West Elm – Lima
February 26, 2008 NWOA office – Tiffin
Time will be determined later. (Registration will be in the December Monthly Mailing)

21st Annual Meeting in Cleveland

Greetings to you. This is a chance to visit the United Church of Christ national offices in Cleveland, Ohio. We encourage you to put the dates March 27th through March 30th, 2008 on your calendar, and to begin planning on attending the UCCOSSN meeting at the Church House in Cleveland.
Our keynote speaker will be the Rev. Kathryn Huey, Minister for Covenantal Stewardship. The theme of the meeting will be “Tending God’s Garden – God Works Wherever We Work.”
We will inform you as soon as the on-line registration becomes available. The registration fee (which covers all program materials and 6 meals) will be $100. Perhaps funding sources can be found through women’s groups, individuals within the congregation, etc.
