Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Attached is the current edition of our "Needs List". These are items that are in constant use in the ministry for various programs. Items highlighted in red are in particular demand currently.
Additionally, We are beginning to serve breakfast on Monday mornings as an
extension of our coffee ministry. Coffee ministry is an outreach ministry
targeting the neighborhood residents and those who work in the
neighborhood. We are in need of nutritious breakfast food options
including:
Eggs (powdered or frozen would be wonderful since these can easily be
stored!)
Pancake Mix, Syrup, Orange Juice (Frozen Concentrate), Bacon or Sausage
(Frozen)
Cream Cheese Packets, Butter (Individual Servings are ideal), Oatmeal or
other hot cereal
Cold Cereal, Milk (Powdered is great!)
9X13 aluminum pans of breakfast casserole that can be reheated would be a
wonderful addition to our menu rotation. Also, the arrival of colder
weather highlights the need for winter coats and blankets. Many of our
neighborhood residents struggle with poorly insulated and poorly heated
homes. Blankets of all shapes and sizes are a blessing at this time of
year. To arrange to drop off coats or blankets please contact the church
office at 419-241-9358 or by email to
nuvizionoffice@sbcglobal.net.
Our CHEEP Store (Clothing Helps Everyone Exchange Program) continues
to be a vibrant and successful outreach program providing clothing to
individuals in the neighborhood at no cost, providing opportunities for
outreach and evangelism and providing time for fellowship.
As we move into the colder months the store becomes an essential
neighborhood resource as individuals seek winter coats, boots, hats, mitts
and spare blankets to help augment the poor heating that characterizes many
of our neighborhood homes.
In order to staff the program effectively we need volunteers able to come
on December 1st and January 5th. If you are able to help as an individual
or have a group that would be able to help we'd love to hear from you. (You
can also book any of the other first Saturdays of the month in 2008 since
they are ALL available.)
God's Grace and Peace to You,
