Prayer Requests
Rev. Jane Hillman’s mother, Marjorie underwent major heart surgery and also received a pacemaker. She has moved from the hospital to the Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan for rehab to gain strength. Please keep praying for her as she gains strength.
Those new to the Association or new to their position
Rev. Eddie Bray, Jr. has accepted a Call to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys. Eddie will be at St. Paul’s on January 1, 2008.
Installations Scheduled
Rev. Ed Heilman will be installed as Pastor at Park Congregational UCC in Toledo on October 21, 2007 at 3:00 pm. All are Welcome!
Rev. David Borden will be installed as Pastor at the dual charge of St. John’s UCC-Baseline and College Hill UCC – Bloomville on November 18, 2007 at 3:00 pm. The installation will be held at College Hill UCC, 7632 St. Rt. 4, Bloomville.

Nu-Vizion UCC, Toledo
Dear Friends,
During our spring work day, one of our members marveled at all the people who had come to help Nu-Vizion from the greater community and from our churches near and far. She wondered why they helped us, and more importantly, "do we ever help them?" Pastor Will preached this last weekend at Buckland UCC about being "Stupid for Jesus." As Christians, we often do things society would consider "stupid", like driving two hours to help clean up an inner city church or donating 10% of our income to Christ's church. In the spirit of our young member's idea of helping our supporters, and in the spirit of doing God's will by being "Stupid for Jesus", Nu-Vizion is launching an effort called: Giving Back the Vizion
We are seeking opportunities from our churches to give back our time and talent through service to reflect our gratitude for what God has done for us in Nu-Vizion UCC. This week a group of seven women traveled to Sylvania UCC to cut and sew uniforms for Love INC. and had a fabulous time working and fellowshipping! Can we help you? Here are some ideas of what we can do:
--Help serve at your church's dinners or events --Cleaning --Yard work --???

First United Church of Christ in Fremont is celebrating its 150th anniversary in November. On Saturday November 3rd at 6:00pm we are having a potluck and time of reminiscing by looking at photos and hearing some of the history of the church. At 10:00am on Sunday November 4th we will have our regular worship service remembering past saints of the church and receiving an update on the current capital campaign. On Sunday November 4th at 3:00pm we will have our anniversary worship celebration with Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio, president of Heidelberg College, as the guest speaker and former pastors participating in the service. Rev. Dan Busch and our organist Linda Bell will be playing several piano/organ duets during both worship services, and there will be special music by the church choirs.
