DIRECTOR OF DISCIPLESHIP

Point Place United Church of Christ, 4920 297th Street, Toledo, OH 43611 www.pointplaceucc.com

We are accepting resumes for the part time position of Director of Discipleship.

The Director of Discipleship would work closely with the pastor and the appropriate boards, such as Church Council, Diaconate and Christian Education. The Director of Discipleship’s main function is that of coordinating, planning and communicating. A top priority is to launch a mid-week program that would include a meal, a worship service and education / spiritual growth activities. The Director of Discipleship would not be required to lead the worship service or enrichment activities (although their participation is welcome where appropriate), but to ensure that they happen in the best way possible. Other priorities include expanding our adult education offerings as well as resurrecting the children’s choir.

We are looking for a mature Christian with a passion for making disciples for Jesus Christ. This person must have strong skills in communication, organization and planning.

The position is for 20 hours/week at $10/hour.

If you or someone you know is interested in applying for this position, please submit resumes to Rev. Jim Latimer (419) 304-2366, or jhlatimer@aol.com. We are looking to hire a qualified candidate as soon as possible.
