“They
who sing pray twice!” If that is
true, there was a lot of singing and praying last weekend at the Small Church Cluster Choir
Fest. Held at Sycamore United Church of
Christ, there were seven churches who offered musical selections with different
styles. The afternoon culminated
with the combined choirs (about 60 voices) signing four selections. By the end of the afternoon, the energy
and enthusiasm was exuberant! It was wonderful! Gratitude goes to all participants, Mr.
Norman Cassidy who directed the combined choirs, and Sycamore UCC for providing
the warm hospitality.
Although
the training sessions for “God is Still
Speaking”
are over for now (there may be additional sessions created in preparation for
the March TV Commercials), we do have some of the 3-ring binder resource
notebooks available. The notebook
contains information about the initiative; a DVD or video of “Ron in the Box”
which is the multi-media presentation of the initiative to be used with the
congregation and provides wonderful discussion opportunities (the presentation
includes the TV commercials); the “Power of Invitation and Welcome” booklet
providing resources building on the opportunity that the TV commercials provide;
a CD of the various materials in the binder for reproduction, etc. Cost of the binder is $25. We will be returning any extra binders
soon, so please indicate your interest by next week.

conversations, contact Rev. Steven Simpson (St. John’s UCC, Genoa, 419-855-3906
